I absolutely love horror movies, especially the slasher films that dominated the 70s and 80s. I grew up during the golden age of Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, and Michael Myers. These characters weren't simply movie monsters. They became cultural icons. They appeared on posters, T-shirts, lunchboxes, Halloween costumes, and just about anything else Hollywood could slap their faces on. But Freddy was different.
