It’s Chase’s turn to pick the movies… and somehow THIS is the double feature we ended up with.

This month on the Nerd Alert Movie Club, Brandon, Jimmy, and James sit down to discuss Chase’s two selections — and they could not be more different:

🐷 Silence of the Hams (1994) — The completely ridiculous horror/thriller spoof starring Ezio Greggio, Dom DeLuise, Billy Zane, Joanna Pacuła, and Charlene Tilton. It takes aim at The Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, and just about anything else it can squeeze into the joke. But more than 30 years later, is this forgotten parody actually funny… or is watching it the real punishment?

🦇 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) — From the creative world of Batman: The Animated Series comes one of the Dark Knight’s most beloved animated adventures. Kevin Conroy voices Batman/Bruce Wayne alongside Mark Hamill’s Joker in a surprisingly mature story about love, loss, revenge, and the choices that turned Bruce Wayne into Batman.

One is an absurd parody that almost nobody remembers.

The other is frequently called one of the greatest Batman movies ever made.

Chase picked both. We have questions.
