If you've ever seen a true David Ayer movie, not the studio plagued cautionary tale *cough Suicide Squad cough*, then you know his propensity for graphic violence. Is it weird to say that I like the way he does violence? If you were to take a lot of what I write on this site out of context I'd sound like a real nut job. Anyway what I mean by his style of violence is his attention to realism. For all the fun that PG-13 action flicks can provide, sometimes it's just nice to watch some good ol' R rated uninhibited brutality - a fictionalized version of course. (I am not a serial killer. I swear.)

It would seem after such a violation committed against him with Suicide Squad he has returned to what I would consider his bread and butter. This brings us to his latest, The Beekeeper.

Official Synopsis: In The Beekeeper, one man's brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as "Beekeepers".
Directed By: David Ayer
Starring: Jason Statham
In theaters January 12, 2024.
